Duble & O’Hearn believes that part of being a good employer goes well beyond its four walls, to being a good member of the community, defined not just by the city in which it is principally housed, but also, the greater world in which it conducts its business, and where its employees live. “Giving back” is a central theme in management’s philosophy of “Work hard, play hard, and support in all we do, our families, friends, and clients, but also, those that may be less fortunate than ourselves.” In this spirit, Duble & O’Hearn makes substantial contributions of its time, talent, and dollars whenever and wherever possible, to many in the greater community.
Some examples include:
Our staff participating annually at The Hole In The Wall Gang Camp in Ashford, CT providing a little bit of hard work and a whole lot of love in whatever the Camp needs to prepare for opening day. Whether it is painting fences, washing windows, making beds, or other various duties, it is always a fun and rewarding day.
Duble & O’Hearn is also a corporate sponsor to the Connecticut Alliance For Lupus Research Walk-a-thon. Along with the sponsorship, the staff forms a team every year with family members to volunteer on the day of the event. Seen as a great way to help in the community, it is also nice to know that 100% of the donations go directly to research.
In addition, various staff members get involved in their local communities serving on boards and committees such as:
- The Wilton YMCA, including co-running their annual fundraising campaign
- The Wilton Presbyterian Church
- The Leadership Gift Committee for Middlebury College
- The Greenwich Young Professionals Group
and many other responsibilities and involvements with fine area organizations.
In fact, numerous non-profit charities and sports organizations are Duble & O’Hearn clients, receiving our ongoing assistance and support in many ways.
